In my studio, I use photography as a means to create sketches with my own body and attributes. The use of photography creates a rapid translation in which 'the moment' plays an important role. That flow provides space to break free from prejudices, to experience, to dare to be human in all its capacities. Creating images is speaking while being silent, appearing without having to be present, taking a place in the world without having to take up space. For me, creating is closely intertwined with my own existence and my relationship to others and the environment. It is an investigation in which ways one can 'be there', how the 'self' relates to the environment.
